Tobermorey Station

With the TAWK word spreading, many camps are joining the program thanks to our travelling families sharing it along the road. That is exactly what happened with Tobermorey Station and Roadhouse. One of our TAWKers has been working there and suggested it would be a great stop for travelling families. Since kids stay FREE anyway, it made perfect sense to share it with the TAWK community.

Tobermorey Station sits along the Plenty Highway on the Northern Territory side of the NT and Queensland border, making it a really handy stop if you are travelling this route across Central Australia.

Camping here is simple and authentic, so you will need to be self sufficient. It is a working cattle station after all, which is part of the experience. Depending on what is happening on the station, the kids might see calves being fed, helicopters taking off and landing, or other day to day station activities.

They also offer helicopter tours, giving you the chance to see the landscape from above and experience a real working cattle station in action. It is a pretty special outback experience.
