Timber Creek Hotel Roadhouse and CP

Timber Creek Hotel was one of our most memorable stops on our travels, so we were thrilled when they came on board as TAWKer Supporters. Even better, kids stay FREE, which travelling families always love.

One of the highlights for our kids was the crocodile feeding. It was their first time seeing a crocodile up close, and it was a great opportunity for them to learn a little more about these incredible Top End animals. They also loved the kite feeding, where you can watch these amazing birds swoop down right in front of you.

Our highlight was definitely the pub food. It was surprisingly good and very reasonably priced. We only stayed one night because we had other plans, but it is one of those places where we wished we had stayed longer as there is quite a bit to explore in the area.

Timber Creek sits right in the middle of the Victoria Highway between Katherine and Kununurra, making it the perfect stop as you travel through this part of the Northern Territory. It is also the gateway to Judbarra/Gregory National Park and Keep River National Park, both incredible places to explore.

And of course, the area is well known for great barramundi fishing, so do not be shy about asking the staff for their tips on the best local spots.
