Put this one on your must stay list. Onya Eco-Camping Park is a new campground in the outback town of Blinman in the Flinders Ranges, and kids stay for FREE.

The campground sits in the Northern Flinders Ranges, perfectly positioned between Blinman and Wilpena Pound. It provides a great base to explore the region during the day and return to a cosy campsite in the evening.

This area is rich in history and culture. Many local tours offer fantastic opportunities to learn about the ancient seabed landscape, unique outback habitats, and the mining history of the region. It is a great chance for the kids, and the adults, to learn something new while travelling.

Not only is the setting spectacular, the owners are passionate about welcoming travelling families. They offer kid friendly activities throughout the year and have something that truly sets them apart from other campgrounds. Paula holds R–12 teaching qualifications, which means she is creating activity sessions, workshops, tours and tutoring opportunities designed to support families on the road. Many activities are free and others are offered at a very affordable cost.

And there is another bonus. They have a camping supplies store on site, selling a range of useful goods. It is the only store of its type in the region, so it can be incredibly handy if you need to restock while exploring the Flinders.
