Abel Tasman Caravan Park

Abel Tasman Caravan Park was recommended to us by a fellow TAWKer, prolific blogger Bruce from Big Family Little Income. It is a fantastic place to base yourself, especially if you have just arrived on the Spirit of Tasmania or are preparing to head back to the mainland. The park sits right by the beach at the mouth of the Mersey River, where you can actually watch the Spirit of Tasmania ships arriving and departing from the port. It is a great sight, and the kids will love seeing the ship from the other side after travelling on it.

The park is also well positioned for exploring the region, with Cradle Mountain only a short drive away, making it a great stop for families wanting to experience some of Tasmania’s most iconic landscapes.
